Focus on Sustainability
Circularity, resource efficiency, emission reduction, energy efficiency, and social issues are the sustainability areas we focus on and work on systematically. We aim to be a good employer and ensure a positive work environment with high levels of safety, well-being, and opportunities for professional development for our most valuable resource – our employees. An example of our community engagement is the support we provide to research and local organizations through our ownership foundation.
We work actively with our suppliers to ensure that our sustainability requirements are met in their operations. Sustainability considerations are part of all decision-making within our organization, and we have worked to foster a shared understanding among our employees of the importance of our contribution to society’s transition.

Our sustainable direction is based on three guiding principles:

People
Safety
Safety is a central part of our operations. All incidents and risk observations are reported and followed up to prevent accidents. The work is carried out systematically through safety inspections and safety committee meetings. We offer preventive healthcare, wellness allowances and access to a staff gym to strengthen employee health and well-being, with the goal of a safe and secure working environment.
Equal value for all
All people should be treated equally and with respect, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or other background. This includes zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment and abusive behavior, as well as active work for equality and inclusion.
Respectful business conduct
This means conducting business in an ethical, responsible and lawful manner. It includes preventing bribery and corruption, acting transparently, complying with laws and regulations, and treating customers, suppliers and partners with respect and integrity.
Sustainable working life
We aim to create long-term sustainable working conditions where employees can feel well, work safely and develop over time. This includes a good work environment, work-life balance, preventive health work, skills development and job security.
Social engagement
We want to be a positive force in the society we are part of. Through our owner foundation, we engage locally in research, schools and associations and encourage social engagement.
Nominit is active in the community and supports both local initiatives and research. For example, we sponsor a number of local organizations in both sports and culture. We always strive to promote equality and inclusion in our sponsorships and collaborations.
Resources
Optimal use of resources
Cold forming is in itself a sustainable manufacturing method. By forming the material without heating and with minimal processing, we can maximize material utilization and reduce waste. This saves resources, reduces waste and contributes to more environmentally friendly production.
We systematically work to minimize energy consumption and chemical emissions in production. Our environmental work is integrated into our management system and follows ISO 14001-certified procedures, ensuring that sustainability permeates the entire operation.
Sustainable supply chain
We set sustainability requirements for our suppliers and work closely with them to ensure that the supply chain also meets high environmental and quality standards. In this way, we contribute to a more sustainable supply chain and long-term societal impact.
We share our Code of Conduct with all suppliers, and it must be signed as part of our collaboration. The code includes requirements such as compliance with applicable legislation, active prevention of corruption, respect for fundamental workers’ rights, prevention of child labor, and ensuring employee health and safety. We also emphasize the importance of taking all necessary environmental considerations. When necessary, we reserve the right to conduct follow-ups and on-site audits.
Digitalization for reduced resource needs
Digitalization contributes to reduced resource needs by streamlining work processes and replacing manual tasks with smart digital solutions. This is achieved through automated systems, data-driven analysis and intelligent production control.
Climate
Circularity
We focus on circularity and resource efficiency throughout the organization and with our suppliers to reduce environmental impact. 20% of our raw material is recycled, and we work closely with our largest suppliers to increase the share of recycled material.
Renewable energy sources
In our production process, we use only electricity from 100 percent renewable sources. Our goal is that 20% of our electricity will come from self-produced solar energy.
Fossil-free transport in operations
We use fossil-free transport in our operations as a way to reduce climate impact from transportation.
Goals 2026:
20%
of our electricity will be self-produced solar energy.
