COLD-FORMED COMPONENTS

The bulk of our turnover today consists of components manufactured according to customers' drawings. Key advantages of the cold-forming method are short cycle times and efficient use of materials. This gives us a competitive advantage over other manufacturing methods. We manufacture everything from pins, shafts and rods to custom screws and parts with complex shapes that are difficult and expensive to produce using other methods.

We supply these parts in a variety of materials, often hardened and finished, which we naturally also handle. Here are a few examples:

Material: 16MnCr5.

Supplied hardened.
Creating splines by cold-forming is a very competitive process. The finished part is completed in the cold-forming press without the need for further machining.

Material: Aluminium EN-AW 6056.

Supplied untreated.
Significant material savings and longitudinal splines are features that strongly favour cold-forming in this example.

Material: 20MnB4.

Supplied hardened and passivated with Fe/Zn-Ni 8 P5 T2.
The shape beneath the head gives cold-forming many advantages here. The screw is completed in the cold-forming machine and requires no further machining.

Material: 20MnB4.

Supplied untreated.
The through-hole and flanged head mean that cold-forming has major advantages here, since other manufacturing methods would require the removal of a large amount of material.

Material: C10C.

Press sleeve with through-hole and internal thread. Supplied blasted and finished with Fe/Zn 12 P1.
The shape of the head and the through-hole mean that cold-forming saves material and eliminates machining of the head, which would be required with any other manufacturing method.

Material: 20MnB4.

Supplied hardened to grade 10.9 and passivated with Fe/Zn-Ni 8 P4T.
The shape of the screw below the head and the elimination of material wastage both favour cold-forming. The shape below the head is particularly difficult and costly to achieve by any other method.

Material: C10C.

Supplied finished with Fe/Zn 8 P5.
The through-hole and flange mean that cold-forming has major advantages here, since other manufacturing methods would require the removal of a large amount of material.

Cold-forming allows the square head to be created without material wastage, while thread rolling creates a strong and uniform thread, again without chip wastage.
